The Survival Kit is assembled in the USA by our team and comes prepackaged, ready to go! The main backpack is the 29 pound 1-Person Ultimate Survival Kit. The secondary backpack has shoulder and waist straps and weighs about 20 pounds. It is designed to hold all the necessities a second individual would need without exactly duplicating everything from the 1-Person Kit. This saves you money and carrying weight. The two bags are designed to work together. Our goal is to make survival and prepping as easy as possible. Because of this, we include survival manuals and custom how-to guides to help anyone know what to do in an emergency situation. There are also emergency plan sheets that cover a variety of scenarios so you can be completely prepared in the heat of the moment. This kit comes with everything BUNKIT can reasonably provide and holds what you need for your survival. The only things we do not include are extra clothes and prescription eyeglasses. To further help you, these things are in a provided packing list of things that we suggest you add to fill the remaining space in the bag. There is a minimum of 7 days’ worth of food* included in the kit. It’s a custom mix of Nutrient Survival (15-year shelf life) and Datrex (5-year shelf life). Nutrient Survival has 2.5x the nutritional standards required by the U.S. Armed Forces per serving. You’ll have well over the 14+ vitamins, minerals, and calories your body needs each day. If you are not traveling and have sufficient water, the food from this add-on could be rationed to last much longer. Another scenario in which the food can be rationed to last longer is if the food is for a child, as they need less calories to survive than an adult. **The age at which someone can fully use this main kit greatly depends on several factors. We only suggest 14 years old because from our experience, you’d need to be about that old to be able to carry the kit and understand the survival instructions. The main 80 liter bag with all items inside (except the WaterBob) weighs 38.5 lbs.

The WaterBob Bathtub Water Storage Kit is shipped with the Ultimate Survival Kit and weighs 1.54 lbs.

If you add additional days of food, that will change the overall weight of your kit. Each bag has one person’s food packed in it.

When you add the few items we suggest in the included packing list, the main bag should weigh 39 to 40 lbs., and the secondary bags will weigh 22 to 26 lbs. That is the perfect weight range if you truly need to leave for an indefinite amount of time.
